... is a chance to get your teeth into some spontaneous singing in collaboration with others, within the safety of supportive guidance, exercises, games, and free-style time.
You can be as tentative and simple, or as daring and wild as you wish, and know that your contribution is welcomed.
It can all weave together beautifully in satisfying harmonies; and even the dischords that emerge some of the time, hold fascination and fruitful experience.
It's both a personal and collective journey of discovery and development, a beautiful way to liberate your voice, expand your singing abilities, and connect as part of a whole.

If not, I'd like to offer you a place where you can allow your true voice to ring free, where you can find out what your voice can really do, where your unique contribution to the singing space is appreciated.
I'm Selena Mara, a Vocal Coach and Singing Facilitator. I've been a singer-songwriter for 27 years, a group singing leader for 20 years, and a Singing Coach for 12.
I trained in Community Musicing in 2001, and I created and led this improvisational singing group regularly for 4 years in Totnes from 2011 to 2015. And loved it.
The experience of this workshop was once described as 'Deep Fun'. And it really is. It's profound, and SO enjoyable.
This is my favourite kind of singing, it's so fulfilling because it's creative and present in every moment.
⭐ It's happening on alternate Fridays from 1.15 - 2.45pm, at Meadowbrook Community Centre (upstairs from Things Happen Here in Dartington).
⭐ It's a closed group, fortnightly from 29th September to mid December.
This provides a nurturing space for all the participants to connect more deeply, open up and free your voices more and more. And get wildly creative!
⭐ The Group Journey is £80 for the term.
⭐ Who is it for?
This workshop / group is for all lovers of singing who feel ready to play and experiment with their voice.

I really enjoy and appreciate Selena's embodied and wholistic approach to leading singing, and the way she brings her own creative life fusion to the class.
