Brand New Singing Workshops for 2021

In collaboration with the good folks at the New Futures Academy, an educational land project in South Devon, England, I'm excited to be launching a new series of singing workshops this year.

Come and gather round with like-minded folk to sing beautiful chants, rounds, ballads and harmony songs, celebrating the earth and seasons.

The first in the series is 'Songs of Summer'.

There's 2 dates for this workshop:

🌸 The first is in a yurt on the land at the New Futures Academy, on Saturday 19th June;

🌸 The second is online, from the comfort of your own home - on Tuesday 22nd June.

Uplifting and Heartwarming

These brand new workshops are a joyful and nourishing experience, and a great way to connect with your family and friends. All are welcome, including children. No singing experience is needed.

Participants of Selena's previous workshops have said that the uplifting, heart-warming songs have enhanced their daily lives as they've sung them for weeks afterwards.

Celebrate This Magical Time Of Year

Selena has a wonderful collection of songs that she has gathered and written, from years of walking the land of the Westcountry, being part of intentional communities and land-based ways of life.

We'll be singing traditional and contemporary folk songs, chants both new and ancient, rounds and harmonies to honour this magical time of year. The songs connect us to nature's cycles and celebrate the Pagan Celtic festivals.

Easy To Learn

The songs are easy to learn, and will be taught by ear, and songsheets will be provided with all the lyrics.

If you're a competent player of guitar, drums or percussion, feel free to bring along your instruments.

🌸 Option 1:

Join us for the in-person workshop, in a yurt on a land project in Devon on Saturday 19th June.

This is a 3-hour afternoon workshop for £25 per adult, £10 for a young person aged 16-18, free for under 16's.

Numbers of participants are very limited to allow for social distancing.

🌸Option 2:

Join us for the online workshop, a 2 hour session on Zoom, on Tuesday 22nd June. From 7-9pm.

Price £8 in advance, or £9 on the day.

Selena offers a joyful and inclusive group singing experience. She teaches clearly and patiently...and she has a beautiful voice herself which makes it all the more enjoyable! Her songs are easy to learn and uplifting. Definitely recommended!
